
MSU In Lead Through Two Rounds At Mobile Bay Intercollegiate

The Bulldogs were one shot out of the lead after round one Sunday but came out firing in round two. State fired the best score of the tournament with a second-round, 1-over-par 289 to claim an 8-stroke lead over second place
“We put ourselves in position to win,” said head coach Clay Homan. “Now we just have to finish it off.”
Seniors Noah Goldman and Josh Bevell are currently tied for second place in the individual field after 1-over-par showings through two rounds. Senior Brian Mason sits in a tie for ninth after his 1-under-par 71 in round two. Seniors Carlos Sainz, Jr. and Matt Fast are tied for 18th with two-day totals of 151. Sainz carded a second-round 74 while Fast notched a 73 in his second round.
Brooks Bankhead has a two-day-total of 155 and is in a tie for 46th. Bankhead is competing as an individual and his score does not count towards the team score.
The final round of competition will begin on Tuesday at 8 a.m. CT.
