Makarycheva, Terpko Victorious On Final Day Of Seminole Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Mississippi State women's tennis performers Valeriya Makarycheva and Danielle Terpko finished play at the Seminole Invitational Sunday, with a pair of victories in their final fall tournament of the season.
Terpko took third place in her flight with the win today. She defeated Kelly Gray of Memphis 6-0, 6-2 in that third place match, to move her record to 2-1 during th Invitational. Meanwhile, senior teammate Makarycheva ousted Jenny Porter of Furman 6-0, 6-0 to take seventh place in the Silver Bracket.
Those were the only wins MSU could get the rest of the way. Sophomore Natalia Mayuk lost to Florida State's Jessica Sucupira 6-1, 6-3, while fellow Lady Bulldog took Olesya Tsigvintseva took a 6-2, 5-7, 6-0 loss to Lauren Kline of Furman.
The Seminole Invitational was State's last tournament of the fall season. Mississippi State will open up the 2010 regular season Friday, Jan. 30, 2010 at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in South Alabama.
