
Mason Leads Bulldogs On Final Day At The Palisades Collegiate Classic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ?€“ Sophomore Bryan Mason fired a final-round 70 on Tuesday as he finished fifth to lead MSU at the Palisades Collegiate Classic in Charlotte, N.C. The Dallas, Texas native finished the three-round event with a career-best 211, including a career best round of 69 in the second round on Monday.
As a team, the Bulldogs finished in ninth out of 18 teams. Carlos Sainz Jr. shot a 224 for the tournament while Noah Goldman finished with a 226, after a round of 70 on Tuesday. Matt Fast also fired a 226 while Logan Young concluded play 1-stroke back with a 227.
Charlotte took home honors in the team competition, as they fired a field-best 849 and won by seven strokes. Brad Benjamin of Memphis shot a 68 in the final round as he won the individual race with a 207.
State will be back in action April 20-22 as they travel to St. Simons Island, Ga. to compete in the 2007 SEC Championship.
