MSU CAREER:
Fourth-year junior eager to bounce back from last year’s sidelining knee injury • Enters the 2011 campaign with 303 kills, 366 digs and 105 total blocks in 45 career starts and 55 matches played • One of two Californians on the 2011 MSU team • Has earned SEC Academic Honor Roll accolades in each of her first three seasons.
2010 (JUNIOR):
Saw her junior season curtailed by a knee injury sustained on opening weekend in the first set of match No. 4 (Montana, 8/28) • Underwent knee surgery (anterior cruciate ligament) and took a medical redshirt after registering 32 kills, 17 assists, nine aces and 41 digs in four matches • Matched a career-high with 15 kills against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (8/28) • Also piled up her second-most digs (17) in the win over TAMUCC • Reached double-figures in digs in three of four matches with 41 in 11 sets • Notched a pair of double-doubles in four matches • Tallied a career-high 10 assists and 11 digs against Austin Peay (8/27) and backed that the next day with 15 kills and 17 digs against TAMUCC (8/28) • Named to the 2010 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2009 (SOPHOMORE):
Took the court as a starter in 20 of her 30 matches played • Established career-bests with 137 kills, 186 digs and 59 total blocks • Delivered a career-best 15 kills and hit .455 in an error-free performance against Ole Miss (11/15) • Also reached double figures with 13 kills at Alabama (9/30) and 11 kills at Ole Miss (10/9) • Notched double-doubles with 13 kills and 12 digs at Alabama (9/30) and 11 kills and a career-best 18 digs at Ole Miss (10/9) • Totaled 26 kills and 23 digs in two matches against Ole Miss • Shared the team lead of 19 service aces with Ioana Demian, including three against Florida (11/1) and at Kentucky (11/8) • Ranked third on the team with 59 total blocks (5 solos / 54 assisted blocks) • Had five or more blocks in five matches, including a career-best six total blocks at Arkansas (11/13) and two solo blocks against Ole Miss (10/9) • Started 19 of MSU’s 20 SEC matches • Finished with 120 kills and 172 digs and 50 total blocks • President’s Scholar with a career 4.0 grade point average • Named to the 2009 SEC Volleyball Academic Honor Roll.
2008 (FRESHMAN):
Drew starter status in the MSU lineup in the first 21 matches before sustaining a season-ending knee injury against Kentucky (10/24) • Ranked fourth on the team as a freshman with 134 kills and averaged 1.81 k/s • Averaged better than six kills and six digs per match • Reached double figures in kills four times, including a career-best 12-kill performance at Arkansas (10/12) • Also had 11-kill showings against Colorado (8/30) and at Ole Miss (10/10) and 10 kills against Centenary (9/12) • Credited with 139 digs, reaching double figures six times • Delivered 15 digs against LSU (10/17) and a rookie season-high 16 to notch a first career-first double-double against Centenary (9/12) • Served up a season-high four aces against Central Arkansas (9/12) • Earned all-tournament team honors in the MSU Bulldog Club Invitational (9/12-13), finishing three event with 17 kills, seven aces, 34 digs and four blocks in three matches • Finished the year with 40 total blocks, including five at Jackson State (9/9) and Florida (10/5) • In SEC competition (10 matches) averaged 1.94 k/s, second-highest mark for State • Among four Volleyball Bulldog rookies named to the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll for 2008-09.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Two-time all-conference and all-league standout at Sante Fe Christian School in Solana Beach, Calif. • Starred for coach Gail Malone’s SFCS teams that captured California state volleyball championships in both 2005 and 2007 and district titles from 2004 through 2007 • Earned third-team Union Times All-San Diego Section and first-team All-Coastal North League honors as a junior and senior • Played club volleyball for the Epic Volleyball Club coached by Ozhan Bahrambeygui.

Born Faith Lynn Steinwedell on December 5, 1990 in Vista, Calif. • Daughter of William and Barbara Steinwedell of La Jolla, Calif. • Sister of actress Nicole Steinwedell, a cast member of the CBS show The Unit • Majoring in physical education.
