Made his Olympic debut in the triple jump at the 1996 Atlanta Games ... recorded his career-best triple jump of 16.93m in 1996 prior to the Games ... competed at the 1995 World Championships in the triple jump ... won bronze in the long jump at the 1990 Commonwealth Games, also finishing fifth that year in the triple jump ... six-time All-American at MSU ... seven-time SEC Champion between the long and triple jumps indoors and outdoors ... still holds school records in the indoor (16.57m) and outdoor (16.54m) triple jump and outdoor long jump (8.22m wind-aided) ... married Faith Idehen, a fellow Nigerian Olympic sprinter ... son, Noah Igbinoghene, ran track and played football at Auburn University before being selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
