SENIOR (2010-11):
Will be a valuable role player for the Maroon and White in its promising season.
FALL - Picked up a singles victory and three doubles wins in his final fall season with Mississippi State... Earned opening round victories in singles and doubles at the ITA Southern Regional Championships... Was active at the Crimson Tide Fall Championship and played in two singles matches and reeled off two doubles wins along with teammate Hrehan Hakeem.
SOPHOMORE (2009-10):
Proved valuable in his opening season with MSU.
FALL - Posted a 6-5 record for MSU... Two of his six victories came over ranked opponents... The first was over 107th-ranked Antoine Benneteau of Florida at the Gator Invitational, the second came at the Seminole Invitational, after a three-set win over Florida's No. 117 Johnny Hamui... Proved clutch in pressure situations posting a 3-1 record in tiebreaker points.
SPRING - Won four singles matches in the spring, three of which were in dual match action... Two of his victories occurred in straight-sets... Played only one doubles match for MSU in the spring season.
FRESHMAN (2008-09):
Was ineligible his first year with the Maroon and White.
PRE-MSU:
Attended the British School of Barcelona.

Max Gregor Smith was born on October 16, 1989 in Sheffield, England... A native of Barcelona, Spain, is the son of Bernard and Yolande Smith... His favorite professional talent is Lleyton Hewitt... Also enjoys surfing and going to the beach... Majoring in biology at State.
