Volleyball Wins Fourth Consecutive Match On Friday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Mississippi State volleyball rolled to their fourth straight victory on Friday, as they took down in-state foe Alcorn State in straight sets.
The Bulldogs hit .351 as a team against the Lady Braves, marking a new season best. State only recorded seven attacking errors in the match, the fewest in a single match this season. 13 Bulldogs saw action in the contest.
Lindsey Mangelson extended her streak of 10+ kill games to seven, as she finished the day with 13 kills at a .480 percentage. She recorded a team best 13.5 points. Sydnie Waller collected seven kills, marking her season high. Paloma Routaboul also ended seven rallies with kills.
Freshman middle blocker Cassidy Cage drew the start for the Bulldogs and picked up five kills while being involved in three blocks. Gha'Naye Whitfield-Moss started opposite of her, collecting six kills and two solo blocks.
McKenna Yates donned the libero jersey again, picking up a total of 15 digs. She has finished with 10 or more digs in every match this season. Cayley Hanson led the team with 32 assists, while freshman setter Adrianna Jeanpierre picked up a pair of assists when she checked into the second set.
The Bulldogs will return to the floor in the Carrie Yerty Classic tomorrow when they take on the hosts, Memphis. First serve is set for 3 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
