Lindsey Mangelson Earns Preseason All-SEC Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Lindsey Mangelson earned a spot on the SEC's 2026 Volleyball Preseason All-SEC Team, the Southeastern Conference announced on Wednesday morning. Mangelson is one of 16 players and one of three underclassmen to be named among the conference's best before the 2026 season.
Mangelson, an outside hitter from Fishers, Indiana, had a record-setting rookie campaign in the Maroon and White last season that led to SEC All-Freshman honors. She completed the season ranking second national among all freshmen and sixth in the SEC with 4.35 kills per set.
Mangelson collected a total of 387 kills throughout the season, putting her in third place for the most by a Bulldog freshman in program history. On top of her Freshman All-SEC honors, she was also named an AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention.
Mangelson and the Bulldogs will begin the regular season on August 28 against Georgia State. Fans can get their first look at this year's volleyball team on August 15, as the Bulldogs will play host to an exhibition against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles at 2 p.m. inside the Newell-Grissom Building.
