Reese Named To National Team Of The Week

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State's Ace Reese was selected to Baseball America's Week 13 National Team of the Week.
Reese hit a sizzling .632 (12-for-19) with two doubles, three home runs, nine RBIs and scored six runs for the Diamond Dawgs last week.
The junior third baseman went 4-for-5 with a pair of homers and a career-high six RBIs during last Tuesday's win over Nicholls. He had another 4-for-5 performance against Auburn on Friday with two doubles and an RBI. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder from Canton, Texas wrapped up his huge week with a 3-for-4 outing against the Tigers that included a two-run homer.
In addition to his hot week at the plate, Reese was perfect in the field with seven assists at the hot corner.
Reese is leading the Southeastern Conference with 21 doubles and is third in total bases (143), fourth in RBIs (63), fifth in runs (61), sixth in home runs (18) and slugging (.704), eighth in OPS (1.134) and ninth in hits (68).
Reese is the third MSU player to be picked for one of Baseball America's National Team of the Week this season. Pitchers Tomas Valincius (March 24) and Duke Stone (April 21) have also earned the honor.
