Regular Season Concludes for State
May 01, 2026 | Track & Field
STARKVILLE – Mississippi State track and field concluded the regular season campaign, hosting the Maroon and White Tune Up.
"The team concluded the regular season on a high note," said head coach Chris Woods. "I'm proud of them for not letting inclement weather distract them from the task at hand. There were solid performances across the board, and the team is in a good position ahead of the postseason. The entire coaching staff is so thankful to the senior class and hopes that they have had the best experience possible while here at MSU."
On day two of the meet, 14 Bulldogs earned personal bests in their respective events.
The day was highlighted by Ife Adisa in the 800m, running 2:03.41 for a new personal best and program freshman record. Her time is now the second fastest in MSU history in the outdoor 800m and earned her the event win.
The Bulldogs earned 11 event wins on the second day of competition, dominating on home turf.
The team will now prepare for the SEC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Auburn, in two weeks.
