Six Bulldogs Added To The 2026 Volleyball Roster

STARKVILLE - Mississippi State head coach Julie Darty Dennis recently announced six additions to the Bulldog program for the 2026 season. Those six include Marie Jones, Kyla Scharfman, Sydnie Waller, Cassidy Cage, Paloma Routaboul, and Adriana Jeanpierre.

Cassidy, Paloma, Kyla, Marie, Sydnie and Adriana are a talented group that will come in and immediately bring energy and enthusiasm to our gym. We are constantly trying to raise the level and compete, and this group knows that what we are trying to do is simple, but not easy. I'm excited for their arrival and to see how they make an impact on our program. Hail State!"

Cage, a 6 '2 middle blocker from Chicago, Illinois, was ranked the ninth-best player and third-best middle in Illinois by PrepDig. She led her high school team to win two state titles in 2024 and 2025. Cage was named the IHSA 4A semi-finals and finals Player of the Game in 2025. She played for the Sports Performance Club under Troy Gilb, where she was the PNHS tournament MVP, the Chicago Tribune Player of the Week, the Brazil Menas Tournament Champion, the Best MB1 Awardee, and the recipient of the Under Armour UA Next Dream Team Award in 2025.

Jeanpierre, a 5'8" setter from St. Augustine, Florida, was ranked the 16th best player in the state of Florida. She helped lead her team to District Championships in both 2023 and 2024. From 2022 to 2025, Jeanpierre earned MVP honors four times at her school. In 2025, she surpassed 1,000 career kills, and in 2024, she recorded 500 digs and 100 aces. During her senior season, she totaled 367 kills, 275 digs, and 34 aces. She was also named First Coast Player of the Year and News4JAX Player of the Year in 2025.

Jones, a 6'1 outside hitter from Helena, Alabama. She was a standout player for Alabama Performance, which is known for producing college-level athletes.

Routaboul, a 5 '8 outside from Buenos Aires, Argentina, was recognized as the best player in the Argentine Cup and in the provincial teams. She played on the Argentine national team in the South American U19 tournament in 2022 and in the World U19 Championship in 2023. Routaboul earned multiple awards for participating on the national team and helping them to reach tournament finals in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Routaboul also participated in the 2025 World U12 Championships for Argentina.

Scharfman, a 5 '8 Libero from Lebanon, Tennessee, will be joining the Bulldog team after a career at Friendship Christian School and Alliance 18 Club. She collected 499 digs her senior year and 427 her junior year, breaking a school-record. Jones was selected to the All District 1st Team in 2022, 2023 and 2025.

Waller, a 6 '0 right side, makes the move to Starkville after three seasons at Syracuse University. She collected 52 blocks and 169 kills, posting a .538 hitting percentage. Waller had a season and career high of eight blocks and four digs in a 3-0 sweep. Before last season, Waller recorded 74 kills with 83.5 points.
