February 08, 2026 | Football
Charles Cross is set to become the 41st player to represent Mississippi State in the Super Bowl when he takes the field as the starting left tackle for the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Cross and the Seahawks are set to take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California at 5:30 p.m. on NBC and Peacock.
Seattle prevailed 23-20 in overtime during their previous meeting against the Patriots in Foxborough on Sept. 15, 2024.
Cross, a former first-round pick (ninth overall) by the Seahawks in 2022, is the 63rd Bulldog to reach the Super Bowl and will be making his first appearance in the big game. The Laurel native started 14 games at left tackle during the regular season in addition to both of Seattle's playoff games.
Cross boasts the second-best pass blocking grade of any offensive lineman in the playoffs at 85.3, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF). The 6-foot-5, 307-pounder also holds the fourth-highest overall offensive grade by a lineman at 83.3.
At least one Bulldog has appeared in six of the past seven Super Bowls.
