Kids Coach - Mathis Taylor
February 21, 2026 | Baseball
Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.
This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Mathis Taylor of Hernando.
Eight-year-old Mathis was born with hemophilia, a blood-clotting disorder that makes it harder to stop bleeding. To help manage the condition, Mathis sees the team at Children's of Mississippi Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
With ongoing expert care from Children's, Mathis is doing great. In fact, his parents say he is always helping others! A big fan of Mississippi State, Mathis enjoys playing with friends, watching TV, playing soccer and going to MSU games!
Have fun at Saturday's game, Mathis. Your friends at Children's of Mississippi are cheering for you!
