Kids Coach - Mathis Taylor
February 21, 2026 | Baseball
Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.Â
Â
This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Mathis Taylor of Hernando.Â
 Â
Eight-year-old Mathis was born with hemophilia, a blood-clotting disorder that makes it harder to stop bleeding. To help manage the condition, Mathis sees the team at Children's of Mississippi Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
Â
With ongoing expert care from Children's, Mathis is doing great. In fact, his parents say he is always helping others! A big fan of Mississippi State, Mathis enjoys playing with friends, watching TV, playing soccer and going to MSU games!Â
Â
Have fun at Saturday's game, Mathis. Your friends at Children's of Mississippi are cheering for you!
