February 17, 2026 | Volleyball
COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. – Freshman outside hitter, Lindsey Masngelson, earned an invitation to the 2026 USAV Women's National Team Collegiate Training.
"I am so excited and proud of Lindsey," said head coach Julie Darty Dennis. "To be invited to this try-out is quite an honor, and Lindsey is so young in her collegiate career; she is just really excited about the impact she has made here so far and how we know she is capable of so much more for us! I think this will be a great experience for her, and I am so proud of her for representing Mississippi State out in Colorado Springs! Hail State!"
Mangelson is one of 62 collegiate volleyball players tabbed to attend, from 20 USAV regions and 29 NCAA Division I universities. She is one of 15 players representing the SEC, joining athletes from Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee, LSU and Kentucky.
Mangelson is the first Bulldog to receive an invitation to the National Collegiate Training since 2022. In her freshman season, she was the most productive Bulldog offensively, leading in kills and points scored. She was named to the All-SEC Second and Freshman Teams, named an AVCA South Region Honorable Mention, and earned two SEC Freshman of the Week honors.
Mangelson will participate in the team training this weekend, which will take place at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center. While in Colorado Springs, Mangelson will participate in on-court training and professional volleyball presentations from Athletes Unlimited, Major League Volleyball and League One Volleyball.
