
Bulldogs Earn SEC Road Win In Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Mississippi State won their second consecutive game in Southeastern Conference play, as they went on the road and took down the Arkansas Razorbacks, 75-66 on Monday.
The Bulldogs (18-8, 5-7 SEC) would never trail to the Razorbacks (11-16, 0-12 SEC) in the game. State opened the contest with a 13-0 run, holding Arkansas scoreless until after the first media timeout.
The Bulldogs hit a season-high 14 shots from distance at a 43.8 percent clip. Nine players entered the scoring column for the Bulldogs, four of which concluded the game in double figures. Four Bulldogs knocked down three or more three pointers: Trayanna Crisp, Awa Fane, Madison Francis and Jaylah Lampley.
Lampley led the Bulldogs in scoring, as she scored 16 points in the contest. Lampley's three triples were knocked down at a 60 percent rate, while she also collected nine rebounds. Favour Nwaedozi earned her 12th double-double on a 13-point performance, 10 rebound performance. She also earned a team-leading three steals.
Madison Francis ended the contest with 13 points. Francis only missed two of her attempts from distance, while her three makes tied a season high. The Southeastern Conference's block leader once again stuffed the stat sheet, as she also grabbed seven rebounds, dished out three assists and rejected two Razorback shot attempts. Crisp finished the contest with 11 points. She hit three or more triples in a single game for the seventh time this year, with State being 6-1 in those games.
Fane added an SEC-high nine points, as her three triples tied a career-high. Fane shot 50 percent from distance and swiped one steal.
The Bulldogs will return to Humphrey Coliseum to take on the Florida Gators on Thursday, February 19. Tipoff for the contest is set for 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+.
