
MSU Will Wrap Hofstra Series With Saturday Doubleheader

STARKVILLE – Due to expected inclement weather forecast for Sunday, Mississippi State will conclude its weekend series against Hofstra with a Saturday doubleheader starting at noon.
Saturday's finale will begin 45 minutes following the conclusion of the first game of the day. Both games are scheduled for nine innings.
The Diamond Dawgs prevailed 6-5 in Friday's season opener. Sophomore southpaws Charlie Foster and Tomas Valincius are slated to start on the mound for MSU on Saturday while the Pride counter with senior right-hander Sean Hamilton and sophomore righty Christian Rasmussen.
All Saturday and Sunday tickets will be accepted for Saturday's doubleheader. Saturday tickets will have seating priority for the first game of the doubleheader while Sunday tickets will be standing room only. In the second game of the doubleheader, Sunday tickets will have seating priority while Saturday tickets are standing room only. Only Saturday parking passes will be valid. Both Saturday and Sunday tickets are allowed in the Triple Crown Club for both games and the stadium will not be cleared between games. Alcohol sales will stop at the normal time during the day's first game but will resume when the umpires leave the field.
The schedule for The Snowman: Alex Wilcox Memorial at softball remains unchanged at this time due to its tournament format and team travel arrangements.
