STARKVILLE – The Bulldogs won the weekend as they took down the Arkansas Razorbacks in five sets.

"I am really proud of the team for fighting and gutting it out. I think we had some moments of frustration, but we also had moments where we figured it out and came together as a team. I am proud that we are continuing to grow match by match even this late in the season. Overall, I am extremely proud. I think it was a balanced offense night; I think we had some pretty big players that came in clutch for that fifth set. So, I was really proud of the team tonight."

Keeping State undefeated in The Griss, the Bulldogs made quick work of Sets 1 and 2, winning then 25-17 and 25-14. Arkansas made a comeback during Sets 3 and 4, but State fought back hard in the final set to beat the Razorbacks, 15-7.

Lindsey Mangelson led the team with 15 kills, while Paloma Routaboul picked up 10. Bernardita Aguilar and Noella Obi each collected nine kills. Gha'Naye Whitfield-Moss and Ava Anderson had eight and seven kills, respectively.

Once again the Bulldogs outblocked their opponent collecting 14 total blocks. Anderson led the charge with eight block assists. Aguilar and Whitfield-Moss had five total blocks each.

McKenna Yates had a team-leading and season-high 24 digs. Mangelson had 17, and Mary Neal collected nine. Cayley Hanson led the team in assists with 27 assists, and Erin Kline picked up 21 plus a kill. Anderson and Neal had two service aces a piece.

The Bulldogs head down the road to Oxford, Mississippi, on Friday as they take on the Ole Miss Rebels. First serve is set for 6 p.m. CT, and it will be broadcasted live on SEC Network+.
