January 21, 2026 | Men's Basketball
THE BOTTOM LINE: Mississippi State fell in an 88-68 decision at Texas A&M in College Station on Wednesday night. State grabbed an early 18-15 lead before A&M jumped out in front with a surge of momentum on the way to a 44-33 halftime edge. After the break, the Aggies kept their foot on the gas pedal and extended their lead while State struggled to find an offensive rhythm.
KEY NUMBERS: Brandon Walker led State in the scoring department, coming off the bench for 16 points and two rebounds. King Grace tallied 13 points, four boards and four assists off the bench as well. Josh Hubbard added 12 points and two assists to the stat sheet, but it wasn't enough for the Dawgs. A big key to the MSU loss was a 14-0 margin in points off turnovers favoring the Aggies.
NEXT UP FOR MSU: The Bulldogs host No. 15 Vanderbilt at Humphrey Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 24. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on SEC Network.
