Volleyball Announces 2025 Schedule
August 06, 2025 | Volleyball
STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State volleyball program and head coach Julie Darty Dennis announced the team's 26-game schedule for the 2025 season on Wednesday, August 6.
"We are excited that volleyball is back in StarkVegas," said head coach Julie Darty Dennis. "We have a solid schedule and some fun opponents coming to town that will challenge and prepare us for the SEC slate that we have in store. The ACC x SEC Showdown at the Net features Duke coming to the Griss, and I sure hope that our Maroon and White faithful will come to support us for a fun conference crossover match. All our home matches are fun and exciting when you have the best fans in the country supporting you and cheering you on every step of the way. We can't wait to get going and we hope to see our family at the Griss later this month! Hail State!"
The Bulldogs will open the non-conference slate of the season inside Newell-Grissom Building, as the team will once again host the Maroon and White Invite, beginning on Friday, August 29 and concluding on Sunday, August 31. State will play host to Southeast Missouri State, Grambling State and North Alabama.
The next weekend, State will hit the road to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where they will play in the Blue Raider Bash, hosted by Middle Tennessee, which begins on Friday, September 5. In addition to taking on the Blue Raiders, State will play UT-Martin and Marist.
State will compete in the SEC x ACC Challenge, "Showdown at the Net", on September 10, competing against Duke at home.
The Bulldogs will travel a few hours south to Hattiesburg to compete in the Southern Miss Invitational on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14. State will take on Mercer on Friday, then the host, Southern Miss, on Saturday afternoon.
State will close out regular season play against South Alabama on September 16 at home.
Conference play will begin the following weekend, with the Bulldogs taking on the SEC both on the road and at home, as announced by the SEC earlier this past spring.
State boasts 10 newcomers from the 2025 signing class, in addition to the seven returners from last season. Libero McKenna Yates, a two-time SEC Defensive Player of the Week, will don the maroon and white for her sophomore season. Middle blocker Gha'Naye Whitfield-Moss and opposite hitter Bernardita Aguilar highlight the talent-filled incoming class.
