LAS VEGAS, Nevada – The Mississippi State men's basketball program had three players participate in the 2025 NBA 2K26 Summer League from July 10-20 in Las Vegas.

Garrison Brooks (Detroit Pistons), Cameron Matthews (Houston Rockets) and Tolu Smith III (Detroit Pistons) were in action over the 11-day event.

Smith III and Matthews started all five games for their respective franchises. Smith III nearly averaged a double-double with 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game for the Pistons. He shot 50.0 percent from the field and 67.6 percent at the foul line. His 8.0 rebounds per contest ranked fourth among players who played in five games.

Notable NBA Summer League Performances – Las Vegas
Saturday, July 19: Matthews posted nine points fueled by a pair of three-pointers as the Rockets defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 104-101 … Smith III reached double figures for the fourth time with a 10-point effort in 15 minutes followed by six points courtesy of Brooks versus the San Antonio Spurs.

Thursday, July 17: Brooks dialed up 10 points, nine rebounds and five assists for the Pistons during a 108-88 win over the Miami Heat.

Tuesday, July 15: Smith III registered a summer league best 16 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Monday, July 14: Matthews chipped in six points, four rebounds and three assists versus the Atlanta Hawks.

Sunday, July 13: Smith III made it consecutive double-doubles with 15 points, 12 rebounds and four assists as Detroit improved to 2-0 with a 98-83 victory over the Houston Rockets.

Friday, July 11: Smith III provided 16 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks as the Pistons knocked off the New York Knicks, 104-86.

The Maroon and White is led by Chris Jans who is one of four coaches in SEC history to amass at least 21 victories and guide his squad to a NCAA Tournament appearance during each of his first three seasons.Â
