
Sullivan Selected As Olerud Two-Way Player Of The Week

STARKVILLE – Noah Sullivan's stellar play helped lead Mississippi State to an undefeated week, which included an SEC series sweep of Kentucky on Super Bulldog Weekend.
For his contributions at the plate and on the mound, Sullivan was named the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week by the College Baseball Foundation on Tuesday. The junior from Orlando, Florida hit .333 with a pair of doubles, three RBIs, scored five runs and walked four times while boasting an on-base percentage of .529.
Sullivan also made a midweek start against Memphis and tossed three shutout innings with five strikeouts and only surrendered one baserunner.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder has reached base in 31 consecutive games and leads the team with 13 doubles, 48 runs scored and a .478 on-base percentage. He also ranks second for the Bulldogs in hits (55), home runs (11) and RBIs (37).
Sullivan has also made seven midweek starts on the mound and sports a 1.96 earned run average. He has struck out 15 and only walked three through 18 1/3 innings this spring but has not factored into a decision.
