
Bulldogs Lead Desert Mountain Collegiate After Day One

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Mississippi State leads the Desert Mountain Collegiate after day one at 12-under. Round two was suspended because of darkness and will resume tomorrow morning.
The Bulldogs put together some of their best golf of the season in round one, firing a 13-under 275—tied for the fourth-best opening round in program history.
Garrett Endicott and Ugo Malcor led the Dawgs through the first 18 holes, each carding rounds of 5-under 67 to lead the field.
Malcor played the best round of his MSU career, compiling seven birdies that included five in a stretch of seven holes. Endicott also carded seven birdies with two separate stretches of three-consecutive birdies. This is Endicott's 23rd-career round in the 60s, which moves him into fourth alone in program history.
Dain Richie fired a round of 2-under 70. After starting 2-over through his first 10 holes, he closed with four birdies in his final eight. Harrison Davis, competing as an individual, finished 4-under in his last eight holes to shoot a 1-under round of 71.
Drew Wilson also carded a 71 in round one with four birdies and an eagle on the par-4 14th hole. Josep Serra rounded out the State contingent with a 1-over 73 that included five birdies.
Endicott began round two with four birdies through his first nine holes, leading the field at 9-under overall. Malcor currently sits in a tie for ninth at 3-under with Richie tied for 13th at 2-under.
Round two will resume tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. CT and roll into the final round. Live results are available on SCOREBOARD.
