STARKVILLE – After a thrilling second half comeback in the opening round of the SEC Tournament, the schedule continues as the Mississippi State Bulldogs will be pitted against the Ole Miss Rebels on Thursday. Tipoff for the contest is set for 5 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.

- Mississippi State opened up the SEC Tournament with a 75-55 win over the 15 seed Missouri Tigers.
- The Bulldogs got revenge from an early season buzzer beater loss over Mizzou, as the Bulldogs exploded in the second half.
- After trailing by 7 at the half and by as much as 14 at the beginning of the third quarter, MississippI State exploded on a 31-0 run that spanned from the 8:28 mark of the third quarter to the 5:14 minute mark of the fourth.
- Jerkaila Jordan led the Bulldog offense with 21 points on 9-13 shooting, while also collecting six rebounds and three steals.
- Destiney McPhaul was a huge part of State's second half triumph, as she finished the game with 19 points on 7-9 shooting and 4-5 shooting from distance, with all of her makes coming in the second half, including a third quarter buzzer beater from the logo.
- Madina Okot and Eniya Russell both scored 12 and 10 points, respectively. Okot collected eight rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Russell gained five boards, three assists, two steals and a block.
- Mississippi State and Ole Miss will be facing off for the 108th time in program history. This will be the eighth time the two team's matchup in the SEC Tournament, as the rival Rebels have won all but one of the previous seven. The last time the two matched up in the conference tournament was the March 6, 2008 (17 years ago today), where Ole Miss walked out of Nashville with a 54-49 win.
- The last time the two teams matched up, Ole Miss walked out of Starkville with a 71-63 win.
- Jerkaila Jordan led the Dawgs with 19 points in the contest. Eniya Russell picked up 15 points on 6-9 shooting, along with five rebounds.
