
State Finishes Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate In Tenth

FORT WORTH, Texas – The Mississippi State Bulldogs wrapped up their regular season on Tuesday at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate in 10th place at 29-over par.
Avery Weed earned a top-20 finish at 3-over par. She opened the tournament on Monday with a pair of 1-under (69) rounds, which were her fifth and sixth rounds in the 60s this season. It marked the fifth time Weed has finished 20th or better this season.
Ana Pina Ortega concluded the final round of the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate with a 1-under round. She has now recorded 13 par or better rounds in her four-year career, nine of which have come in her senior season.
The 18th-ranked Bulldogs will have over two weeks before postseason play begins. State will look to defend their 2024 SEC Championship beginning on April 13 in Belleair, Florida. The tournament will be played at The Pelican Golf Club, the same location where State's first SEC Championship came last season.
