Notes to know
• Mississippi State is in its 102nd season of men's tennis. The program played its first tennis match in 1907 and has competed every year since 1946.
• Matt Roberts is in his 13th season at MSU and 11th as the Bulldogs' head coach. Roberts has compiled a 200-80 overall record and a 128-25 mark at home. He is the longest-tenured head coach at State.
• The Bulldogs have made 13 consecutive appearances in the NCAA Championships and have reached the Sweet 16 in five of the past six seasons.
• Men's tennis posted a 3.68 grade point average during the fall semester. It was the highest team GPA of any sport at Mississippi State.
• MSU jumped six spots in the ITA rankings to No. 16 after losing a tough battle against No. 4 Texas and dominating at home against No. 16 Oklahoma last weekend
• Jovanovic and Sanchez Martinez have accumulated 46 career doubles victories together, which is good for fourth-most all time in school history. The All-American tandem just needs one more to tie George Coupland and Artem IIyshin for third place.
• Jovanovic and Sanchez Martinez have been on a two-game doubles clinching streak, and they look to add more to that streak this weekend.
• Niccolo Baroni and Roberto Ferrer Guimaraes are tied with the most wins on the team (17) and for the least amount of losses in dual match play (1).
• Ferrer Guimaraes is the only player on Mississippi State's roster that is still undefeated in SEC singles play, having a 3-0 record this season. He is currently also on a seven match win streak in singles, which is the longest of his career.
• Jovanovic and Sanchez Martinez are currently on a six match win streak in doubles play, which is tied for the longest of their career. A win on Thursday would set a new career high for them.
