Sullivan Named Preseason All-American By The NCBWA

DALLAS – On Friday, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) presented its 2025 Preseason All-America Teams, voted on by the NCBWA committee, and junior utility player Noah Sullivan earned first-team honors.

Sullivan, a two-way player, joins the Maroon and White after a successful season at USC Upstate. He was named First Team All-Big South as a utility player and a Second Team All-Big South as a starting pitcher. He earned Big South Player of the Week honors and Starting Pitcher of the Week honors during his season.
On the mound, Sullivan posted an 8-1 record as he made 14 appearances, including 12 starts. He pitched 75 and 2/3 innings and tallied 51 punchouts. He posted a 4.88 ERA and earned one save on the season. He tossed a career-long 8 innings against the Citadel on April 12. He struck out a career-high seven batters twice during the 2024 season: once against Penn (March 2) and again on Gardner-Webb (March 15).
After dominating on the mound, Sullivan also shined at the plate. He finished the 2024 with a .324 batting average, the fourth-best average on the team. He was second on the team with 17 home runs and third on the team with 56 RBIs. He posted 66 hits during the season and had an on-base percentage of .453 in the 57 games he appeared in. He tied a career-high with four hits against Coastal Carolina on March 5 while collecting a career-high six RBIs in the same game. He had a career-long 10-game hitting streak during the 2024 season.
The 2025 season gets underway on Feb. 14 when the Diamond Dawgs host Manhattan in a three-game series at Dudy Noble Field.
Mississippi State's 55-game schedule features 31 home games, 18 road contests, and six neutral-site matchups. The Diamond Dawg play seven of their first eight games at home and have an eight-game homestand from April 29 to May 13.
