Kids Coach- Addilyn Smith
February 22, 2025 | Baseball
Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.
This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Addilyn Smith of Yazoo City.
Two-year-old Addilyn came to Children's right after she was born as a patient in the NICU. Her mom says she has been a true warrior despite all the obstacles she faced from the start. She loves all her Children's of Mississippi caregivers, especially teams in nephrology and palliative care.
Her mom says Addilyn wouldn't have come this far if it weren't for the staff and continuous support from everyone at Children's of Mississippi.
Addilyn enjoys reading books, watching Elmo, watching football games with Dad and learning new sight words. Her favorite hobbies are playing on the swings and the slide at the playground and dancing with Mommy. She also likes to watch "Showtime at The Apollo."
Have fun at Saturday's game, Addilyn. Your friends at Children's of Mississippi are cheering for you!
