Davis Leads Bulldogs Entering Final Round of Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate

STATESBORO, Ga. -Â Harrison Davis led No. 20Â Mississippi State's men's golf contingent in the first two rounds of the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate on Saturday.

Davis fired rounds of 2-under 70 and 3-under 69 at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course on Saturday, putting himself two shots back of the lead and in fourth place heading into Sunday's final round.

Davis' first round was highlighted by four birdies. He started Round 2 with three birdies across his first nine holes before eagling the par-5 No. 15. He was one of just six players to break 70 in the second round, and both scores marked his best round of the season.

Alejandro Fierro will enter the final round in red figures at 1-under overall and tied for 14th.  He shot rounds of even-par 72 and 1-under 71, totaling seven birdies. His second-round 71 tied his best score of the 2024-25 campaign.

David Beard stands at 3-over after rounds of 74 and 73. He was one of only two players in the field to eagle Hole 15 twice.

Trip Duke rounded out the State group with two rounds of 2-over 74, his best of the season. The true freshman racked up the team's most birdies with nine.

The Dawgs wrap up the event with a shotgun start at 7:15 a.m. CT on Sunday. Davis tees off on No. 1 with Fierro on the No. 3 tee. Beard begins on No. 6 while Duke gets started on Hole 7.
