The Bulldogs Bring Home a Ranked Win from The ITA Southern Sectional Championships

BATON ROUGE, La. – Mississippi State's doubles duo of Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz and Gianna Oboniye made an impressive run at the ITA Southern Sectional Championships by a victory over the tournament's top-seeded pair.
The Bulldog tandem upset No. 17 Leyla Britez Risso and Catherine Aulia from Tennessee in Round 16 securing a ranked win and advancing to the semifinals in Baton Rouge.
Kempenaers-Pocz and Oboniye continued their strong play throughout the weekend, also defeating Tulane's Micah Pierce and Summer Chandler in straight sets in the quarterfinals.
Their run came to an end in the semifinals against Georgia's Deniz Dilek and Emma Dong.
To close out the fall season the pair qualified for NCAA Doubles Championship's in Orlando starting November 18.
