Cross Country Set To Race In Jackson
October 03, 2025 | Cross Country
JACKSON, Miss. – Mississippi State cross country will race in the Belhaven Invite, running in the first 6k of the season.
Fresh off the heels of a second-place finish at the Southern Showcase, the Bulldogs look to improve on their times in the 6k, hosted by Belhaven, on Saturday morning.
The race will take place at The Choctaw Trails starting at 9:45 a.m. This race marks the first 6k of the season for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs will send 10 to the line in Jackson. Program record holder in the 5k, Nelly Jemeli, will compete in her first collegiate 6k. She is joined by the second fastest 5k runner in MSU history, Naomi Jepleting, who will also be making her 6k debut.
Veterans Hunter Anderson, Mallory Streetman, Gabrielle Boulay and Ramat Jimoh will toe the line Saturday morning. Jimoh, the program record holder in the 6k, will be competing in her first race of the cross country season. Boulay is also tied for the program record in the 6k, both ran at last year's SEC Cross Country Championships.
Rounding out the lineup are Trinity Holland, Kaitlyn Burge, Brooklyn Quanz and Louise Stonham. This will be Stonham's first 6k while representing MSU, after running a top 10 time in program history in the 5k earlier this season.
The Bulldogs return to this race after sending a small group in 2024. All racers competing for MSU earned top 25 finishes at last year's event.
