NOTES:
- Mississippi State picked up a pair of victories last week, with a 81-77 victory over No. 10/11 Oklahoma in Starkville and a 79-68 win in Athens over the Georgia Bulldogs.
- Oklahoma was State's first ranked win since defeating the then defending-national champions, No. 9/9 LSU, last season on January 29, 2024
- The win over Oklahoma marked the first time that Mississippi State had beaten two top-10 opponents in Humphrey Coliseum in back-to-back seasons since the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons when the Dawgs beat #10 Texas on Dec. 2, 2018 and #7 South Carolina on February 5, 2018
- The Bulldogs knocked down a season-best 14 threes in the game against Georgia. This also tied the most threes hit by a Bulldog team in three seasons under Coach Purcell, which has been done multiple times.
- The Bulldogs are receiving votes in the Week 11 editions of the AP Poll (22) and the USA Today Coaches' Poll (10).
- Mississippi State's defense ranks top-20 in the nation in opposing field goal percentage. Opponents are currently shooting 35.3 against the Bulldogs, which is 3.1 percent off of the nation's leader, Kansas State (32.2).
- State is one of 5 teams in the SEC and one of 13 teams in the nation to hold opponents to under 60 points per game, under 40% shooting and to average at least 8.0 steals and 4.5 blocks per game.
- Jerkaila Jordan is currently the only player in the SEC and one of six players in the nation to average at least 15 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.5 steals and 1 block per game
- Madina Okot leads the nation with a 69.3 field goal percentage.
- Eniya Russell is one of two players in the SEC and one of 14 in the nation to average at least 13 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.

- Head Coach Sam Purcell is in his third season and has earned 63 victories and 19 SEC wins in that span. He needs just three more victories to become the winningest coach in program history in all games and in SEC contests across their first three season.
- The Lady Vols enter the matchup after earning a 30-point victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks on January 12.
- Tennessee leads the all time series 40-8. In Knoxville, they have won 18 of 21 games. The Bulldogs have won six of the last ten matchups.
