All-Bulldog Final In Fayetteville On Sunday

The stage is set for an All-Mississippi State showdown for the singles championship at the ITA Fayetteville 15K on Sunday.
Junior Benito Sanchez Martinez will square off against freshman teammate Niccolo Baroni at 11 a.m. and will be the first ITF singles title for either Bulldog.
Baroni has already had to beat one of his teammates just to reach Sunday's finale. The Viareggio, Italy native won 6-3, 6-2 against junior Mario Martinez Serrano in Saturday's semifinal round.
Sanchez Martinez secured his spot in the championship by taking down the top seed in the tournament, Texas freshman Timo Legout of France, 6-3, 6-4 to setup the all-Bulldog final. It was the sixth singles victory for the native of Potsdam, Germany during the event.
And although the ITF Fayetteville 15K is coming to a close in Arkansas, another tournament – the ITA All-American Championships - got underway with prequalifying in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday.
Sophomore Radomir Tomic took care of business by beating Nicola Cigna of Arizona State in the opening round 6-3, 6-3 and will move on to face Georgio Samaha of New Mexico on Sunday at 8 a.m.
Junior Michal Novansky dropped his first-round match but will try to bounce back against Aran Noroozian of New Mexico in the consolation bracket at 11:30 a.m.
Novansky and Tomic teamed up together in doubles for the first time on Saturday and will try for a better result when they face Princeton's Landon Ardila and Paul Inchauspe in the prequalifying doubles consolation on Sunday at 4 p.m.
