Ferrer Guimaraes Shines At SEC Challenge

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., - Roberto Ferrer Guimaraes secured the first win of Mississippi State's young tennis season on Saturday.
Ferrer Guimaraes rallied to top Vanderbilt's Dylan Charlap, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 in singles at the SEC Challenge hosted at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Ferrer Guimaraes and the Bulldogs wrap up the SEC Challenge on Sunday. The Lakeland, Tennessee native joins forces with fellow sophomore Marshall Landry to take on Auburn's Jake Kennedy and Will Nolan at 9 a.m. Meanwhile, Michal Novansky and Radomir Tomic team up against Kentucky's Eli Stephenson and Jayden Weekes.
MSU closes out the day in singles play. Ferrer Guimaraes meets Nolan in the White Draw while Landry takes on Kennedy. The Crimson Draw sees Tomic taking on Weekes while Novansky battles against Stephenson.
