NEW ORLEANS, La. – Mississippi State picked up their second win in the Green Wave Classic, as they cruised to a 3-0 victory over the ULM War Hawks.
As a team, the Dawgs finished with a .330 attack percentage, the best attacking percentage the team has gained in a single game. State picked up 44 kills on 94 swings throughout the contest.
14 Bulldogs saw the floor, with nine picking up kills. A pair of middle blockers stood out in the contest. Arissa Smith picked up eight kills during the contest on only 12 swings. She also led the Bulldogs with four total blocks, all solos. Rebecca Walk made the most of her kills, picking up five kills on five swings.
Ceci Harness drew the start as the setter and picked up her 19th career double-double. Harness led the team with 21 assists and tallied 10 digs, which ranked second on the team behind libero McKenna Yates, who picked up 14.
Mele Corral-Blagojevich picked up four aces from the service line. In the last two games alone, she has tallied nine aces.
The Bulldogs are set to conclude the Green Wave Classic against the Grambling State Tigers tomorrow. The match is set to begin at 12 p.m.
