Diamond Dawgs Announce 2025 Schedule

MSU set to play 31 games at Dudy Noble Field in 2025.
STARKVILLE – Mississippi State's full 2025 baseball schedule is now set, and the Diamond Dawgs will play 31 games at Dudy Noble Field. The season kicks off on Friday, Feb. 14, at The Dude.

The schedule is subject to change for television, including the possible move of some conference series to begin on Thursdays.

The Bulldogs open the season with back-to-back home series, with Opening Day set for Friday, Feb. 14, against Manhattan to begin a three-game series. MSU hits the road for a midweek contest at Southern Miss before returning home to host Missouri State for three games from Feb. 21-23.

The Diamond Dawgs host Troy in a midweek contest on Tuesday Feb. 25. Following the contest against Troy, Mississippi State heads to Houston to participate in the 2025 College Classic at Minute Maid Park. The complete schedule for the 2025 College Classic can be found by clicking here.

Following the College Classic in Houston, the Bulldogs return to The Dude for four straight games, starting with a midweek game against Southern Miss on March 4. The Dawgs close out the homestand with a three-game set against Queens, which will be held Friday through Sunday (March 7-9).

MSU's final two games before league play come at Keesler Federal Park in Biloxi. State takes on Old Dominion on March 11 and Nicholls State on March 12. This is the fourth straight season the Dawgs have played in Biloxi. Then SEC action arrives.

MSU's 2025 SEC slate is highlighted by home series against Texas, South Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, and Ole Miss. In all, State will face six conference opponents that were 2024 NCAA Tournament participants, including two that reached the Super Regional round and two that advanced to the College World Series.Â

The Diamond Dawgs host Texas to open SEC play on Friday, March 14. The Bulldogs last faced Texas in Omaha in the semifinals round. The Diamond Dawgs beat Texas to earn a spot in the CWS finals and went on to win the 2021 National Championship.

Following a midweek tilt with Jackson State on Tuesday, March 18, Mississippi State hits the road for back-to-back SEC series as they head to Norman, Okla., on March 21-23 and then to Baton Rouge, La., on March 28-30. The Diamond Dawgs faced off against the Sooners in 2023 in the Frisco Classic in Frisco, Texas. Between the weekend SEC series, MSU hosts Samford on Tuesday, March 25.

MSU heads to Memphis on April 1 before returning home for SEC contests against South Carolina from April 4-6.

The Bulldogs head to the state of Alabama for a midweek contest and an SEC series the second week of April. The week starts with a midweek contest at UAB on Tuesday, April 8. The Dawgs then head for a three-game set in Tuscaloosa to face Alabama from April 11-13. Mississippi State hosted Alabama in 2024 at Dudy Noble Field and took the series with a pair of wins.

After the trip to T-Town, the Dawgs come back to Starkville for four straight games. MSU hosts Southern on Tuesday, April 15, before hosting Florida for a three-game set from April 18-20.

The annual Governors' Cup against rival Ole Miss is set for Tuesday, April 22, at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Miss. April closes out with MSU heading to Auburn, Ala., to face the Tigers in a three-game set from April 25-27. The final game of April set for April 29 when the Dawgs host Memphis at Dudy Noble Field.

Two of the final three weekend series will occur at Dudy Noble Field, starting with a three-game home set against Kentucky, which is set for May 2-4. Mississippi State hosts its final SEC home series from May 9-11, renewing the rivalry against Ole Miss.Â
