
Lopez Ramirez, State lead after Two Rounds at Carmel Cup

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – After two rounds at Pebble Beach Golf Course, the Mississippi State Bulldogs head into the final day with the team lead at 12-over par. Along with the team lead, Julia Lopez Ramirez leads all individuals at 8-under.

The second day saw high scores throughout the field, with only nine golfers picking up par or better rounds, with three being Bulldogs.

Lopez Ramirez fired off a 2-under par second round, collecting five birdies throughout the day. She heads into the final day of the Carmel Cup looking to pick up her ninth career individual trophy.

Chiara Horder also shot 2-under during the second round. After finishing day one at two-over, Horder finds herself at even-par headed into the final day of the competition, sitting in a tie at seventh.

Avery Weed shares the seventh-place spot with Horder, as she shot even-par for her second straight day. Â
