STARKVILLE – With the 2024 volleyball season right around the corner, head coach Julie Darty Dennis announced the schedule for the Mississippi State Bulldogs' 50th campaign. The schedule features 12 matches inside the Newell-Grissom Building. Â
MSU's schedule features four different opponents who competed in the postseason during the 2023 season. These four include Arkansas, Florida, Missouri and the 2023 National Champion, Texas. Â
State will begin their journey through the 2024 season in Memphis on August 24th. From there, the Bulldogs will play in a trio of invitationals, including when they host Michigan and Notre Dame on September 6 and 8. The non-conference slate for the Dawgs will end when they take on Southern Miss in back-to-back days on September 19 and 20. Â
The Bulldogs play 16 conference games this season, with eight at home and the remaining eight on the road. They will open SEC play on the road against South Carolina on September 27. On top of the trip to Columbia, South Carolina, the Bulldogs will travel to play Florida, Texas A&M, Alabama and Kentucky.Â
The Newell-Grissom Building will host some familiar conference foes, as well as a pair of new ones. Traveling to Starkville this season will be LSU, Tennessee, Auburn and Arkansas. New SEC foes, Texas and Oklahoma, both head to 'The Griss' this season as well. Â
In conference play, the Dawgs will both host and travel to play two opponents this season, Missouri and in-state rival, Ole Miss.
