Sells Begins Summer Play In Lone Star Collegiate League

AUSTIN, Texas – Mississippi State outfielder Kiarra Sells will spend her summer playing for the Texas Ninebands in the Lone Star State Collegiate League (LSCL).

Sells could play in up to 25 games this summer depending on the Ninebands' playoff performance. There are six teams in the league based across Austin and Georgetown, Texas. Rosters include players from all conferences across NCAA softball. The LSCL is part of the American Collegiate League, which also runs the Florida Gulf Coast League where Kylee Edwards is spending her summer.

Sells and the Ninebands opened the season 3-0 over the weekend, and she homered and drove in two runs along the way. The season will continue through July 15. All games will stream exclusively on AthletesGoLive.com. Each roster is capped at 16 athletes with no more than two from the same school on the same team.

The Jasper, Texas, native was State's third-most-used sub this season, playing in 33 games off the bench primarily as a pinch runner. She reached twice as a pinch hitter and has one career RBI, coming on a sacrifice fly in 2023.
