
Bulldogs Conclude First Day Of Mossy Oak Collegiate

STARKVILLE – The No. 26 Mississippi State men's golf team finished the first two rounds of the Mossy Oak Collegiate on Monday. Over 36 holes, the Bulldogs shot an even-par 576 and stand tied for seventh ahead of Tuesday's final round. Â
MSU got off to a strong start on the day, shooting a 4-under 284 in the opening round. That round was highlighted by several strong individual performances with five Bulldogs shooting under par. Leading State in the first round was Ben Loveard, who was competing individually. The sophomore carded a career-low 3-under 69. Loveard notched four consecutive birdies on hole Nos. 7-10 and is currently tied for 25th alongside State's Josep Serra.Â
Joining Loveard under-par in Round 1 were Hunter Logan, Garrett Endicott, Drew Wilson and Alejandro Pedryc. Endicott finished 1-under and carded one of State's two eagles of the day on the par-5 12th hole. Logan and Endicott are tied for 37th and are just two strokes back from the top 20. Â
MSU's highest individual finish of the day came from Alejandro Pedryc, who carded a 2-under opening round, before shooting 1-under in Round 2. Pedryc led the Bulldogs with nine birdies over the two rounds and fired MSU's second eagle of the day on Hole 12. Pedryc is tied for 16th ahead of tomorrow's final round and is six strokes back from the individual lead. Â
The third and final round of the Mossy Oak Collegiate will tee off at 8 a.m. CT on Tuesday morning from the No. 1 and No. 10 tees. Â
