Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.

This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is De'Nahri Middleton of Jackson, MS.

At only 5 months old, De'Nahri had his right kidney removed and has undergone ten surgeries over the past 11 years under the care of Children's of Mississippi.
Â
De'Nahri was diagnosed with hydronephrosis and a megaureter, but that doesn't slow him down. He sees the pediatric kidney doctors at Children's of Mississippi for specialized care and keeps rolling!

Now 13 years old, he loves the New Orleans Saints and watching WWE. He also hopes to one day be able to meet John Cena or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson!
