NASSAU, Bahamas. – After the second round in the Nexus Collegiate Invitational, the Mississippi State women's golf team sits in seventh place. State's day was highlighted by the play of Avery Weed.

Weed finished her day shooting two-under par. She collected five birdies throughout round two, the most of any Bulldog on the day. Weed sits in a tie for fifth place heading into the final day of action.

The Bulldogs head into the final round looking to make up ground in the field. State will be paired with Illinois, Houston, and host team Texas Tech. Kentucky currently leads the field at three-over.

The final round of the Nexus Collegiate Invitational is set for an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com.
