Bulldogs Drop Season Finale to Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. – The Mississippi State volleyball team dropped their final match of the 2024 season, as they fell to the Georgia Bulldogs by a score of 3-1.

Karli Schmidt led the Bulldog attack in her final appearance in the Maroon and White. Schmidt finished with a team-leading 16 kills on a .300 hitting percentage. Today's match marked the 10th time she has picked up double-digit kills in the last 11 matches.

Amina Shackelford finished her career as a Bulldog with a 15-kill performance, which tied her season-high that she set in the second match of the 2024 campaign. Shackelford also tied her season-high with eight digs.

A trio of Bulldogs picked up double-digit digs: Mele Corral-Blagojevich, Ceci Harness and Mary Neal. Corral-Blagojevich started the match in the libero jersey, as she finished with 16 digs. Neal tagged in for the final set of the match and rounded out her day with 12 digs. Harness picked up her eighth double-double of the season after dishing out 39 assists along with her 14 digs.
