Karli Schmidt and Rebecca Walk to Represent Mississippi State on SEC Career Tour

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Karli Schmidt and Rebecca Walk have been selected to represent Mississippi State in the 2024 SEC Career Tour, the Southeastern Conference announced on Tuesday. Schmidt and Walk join a list of 29 other athletes across the conference in Atlanta, Georgia on December 3-5.
The SEC Career Tour will be taking place for the ninth time this year. The goal of the career tour is to provide exposure for SEC student-athletes who are seeking career opportunities in various fields. The program allows student-athletes to connect with human resource recruiters and submit resumes for jobs and gain valuable knowledge of professional branding.
The three-day tour will begin at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, the site of the 2024 SEC Football Championship game. The duo will have the opportunity to tour the facility, connect with Mercedes-Benz Stadium staff and SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. The group will also visit the headquarters and meet with executives at several corporations and organizations in the Atlanta area including Mercedes Benz Stadium, Metro Atlanta Chamber, One Digital, Southern Company and Porsche North America.
Schmidt and Walk are both business administration graduate students at Mississippi State. Schmidt, an outside hitter from Lansing, Kansas, has spent the past two seasons with the Bulldogs. On the other hand, Walk, a middle blocker from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, has been with the Bulldog volleyball program for four years.
