
Jordan Earns 2025 Preseason Coaches' All-SEC Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference office announced Thursday that Mississippi State women's basketball graduate student guard Jerkaila Jordan was selected to the 2025 Preseason Coaches' All-SEC Second Team.Â

It marks the second straight season that Jordan has earned the preseason recognition from conference head coaches. Â

Jordan secured 2024 All-SEC Second Team honors after averaging 16.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.1 steals in 30.8 minutes per game in 2023-24. Her +303 plus/minus ratio led the team, and she was the lone Bulldog to start all 35 games, now starting all 124 in her career, in 2023-24.Â

She was the only player in the SEC to average at least 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game in 2023-24. Her 16.2 points and 2.1 steals per game are each the fourth-best returning mark in the SEC in 2024-25.
Jordan averaged 24.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.0Â blocks on 50.0 percent from the field (20-40) and 44.4 percent from three (4-9)Â against top-10 opponents in 2023-24.
In 2023-24, Jordan posted 27 10-point games, 11 20-point games and concluded her senior campaign with a career-high 36 points at Penn State, her first career 30-point game. Jordan also recorded seven double-doubles in 2023-24 after entering with four over her first three seasons combined.Â

During her three seasons in Starkville, Jordan has climbed her way into the program record books. She ranks seventh with 203 steals and 12th with 1,356 points for her career. Her points total is the third best active mark in the SEC, while her steals are second.

Mississippi State officially tips off on Thursday, Nov. 7, when it hosts Memphis inside Humphrey Coliseum at 6:30 p.m.
