Junction Jam Provides Fans First Look At Hoops Squads

STARKVILLE – With the start of the season only weeks away, Mississippi State men's and women's basketball teams participated in their 2024 Junction Jam event in front of a lively crowd inside the Junction on Friday night.
Fans in attendance were introduced to the 2024-25 Bulldogs and watched players from both teams take part in various competitions, including a three-point shooting contest, skills competition and a dunk contest.
Sophomore guard Josh Hubbard took home the three-point contest for the second consecutive year, but it was sophomore center Michael Nwoko who stole the show with his high-flying antics in the dunk contest.
Sophomore forward/center Quanirah Montague put her talents on display to secure the skills competition.
Men's basketball will open its season on Monday, Nov. 4, when the Bulldogs host West Georgia at 6:30 p.m. inside Humphrey Coliseum. Women's basketball tips off its season at home with Memphis on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m.
