Logan Shoots Under Par In First Round In Australia
January 25, 2024 | Men's Golf
VICTORIA, Australia – Hunter Logan finished his first round of golf at the WebEx Players Series on the Challenger PGA Tour Australasia on Wednesday night. The MSU graduate student shot 1-under through the first round and sits in an 18-way tie for 65th place in the 144-person field.
After the first 18 holes, Logan sits just two strokes back of the projected cut line, which will take effect after the tournament's second round. He currently leads all Americans in the field and fired the third-best round of all amateurs competing.
After a slow start on the back nine that saw him at 2-over heading into the turn, Logan rebounded with a strong front nine. The Bulldog golfer would go on to card two birdies, as well as an eagle on the course's seventh hole, to finish 3-under on the front nine and 1-under overall.
Logan is scheduled to tee off his second round at the WebEx Players series at 8:25 p.m. CT on Thursday. If he makes the cut, the third and fourth rounds are slated for Friday and Saturday respectively.
