Diamond Dawgs Rank 9th In D1 Baseball Freshman Recruiting Class

STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State Diamond Dawgs have another talented freshman class. According to D1 Baseball, the Diamond Dawgs have the ninth-best freshmen class.

The Dawgs placed for freshman in the top 100 by D1 Baseball as Dylan Cupp (No. 8) and Mikhai Grant coming in at No. 10. Joining those two are Luke Dotson (No. 66) and Nolan Stevens (No. 74). Making an impact this fall were Jackson McKenzie and Steven Spalitta.

Last week, Perfect Game ranked four Diamond Dawgs in the Top 75 Freshmen. Included in the Perfect Game rankings were Cupp, Grant, Dotson and Stevens.

The 2024 season gets underway on Feb. 16 when the Diamond Dawgs host Air Force in a three-game series at Dudy Noble Field.

Mississippi State's 56-game schedule features 35 home games, 17 road contests, and four neutral-site matchups. The schedule features a 12-game homestand to open the campaign (Feb. 16 – March 2) and a five-game homestand from April 2-9.
