Diamond Dawgs Boast Collegiate Baseball’s No. 10 Recruiting Class
September 27, 2023 | Baseball
STARKVILLE – It's evident that talent continues to be stockpiled in Starkville as Mississippi State has once again earned one of the country's top recruiting rankings.
The Diamond Dawgs' most recent recruiting class was tabbed the nation's 10th best on Tuesday per Collegiate Baseball. The rating comes as MSU head coach Chris Lemonis and the Bulldogs have welcomed in an incredibly talented group of freshmen and transfers to a program that has reached the College World Series in three of the last five completed seasons and won the 2021 National Championship. In all, the Bulldogs bring in 27 newcomers.
The Bulldogs feature four Top 100 transfers according to Baseball America and four transfers on the Top 130 D1Baseball Transfer list.
Mississippi State is currently gearing up for the 2023 season with fall ball underway. Fans can get a sneak peak at the Bulldogs in the coming days with three open scrimmages at Dudy Noble Field.
MSU will host scrimmages on Friday (September 29), Sunday (October 1) and Monday (October 2). Times of the scrimmages will be announced later this week on social media and admission is free.
