Martinez-Montoya Earns Top-100 Collegiate Player Ranking

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Aitana Martinez-Montoya has achieved yet another impressive milestone in her collegiate career by securing a coveted spot in the Top-100 Collegiate Player Rankings released by Top Drawer Soccer on Wednesday. Martinez-Montoya clocks in at No. 66 for the preseason.
Martinez-Montoya burst onto the collegiate soccer scene during her freshman year at Farleigh Dickerson, earning a trio of accolades that showcased her extraordinary potential. Her remarkable debut earned her the titles of NEC Offensive Player of the Year, NEC Rookie of the Year, and a spot on the First Team All-NEC.
Throughout her freshman campaign, Martinez-Montoya's impact was undeniable. Her dynamic presence on the field saw her start all 19 matches she appeared in, totaling an impressive 1,530 minutes of play. She led the team in multiple categories, including goals (8), points (19), shots (57), and shots on goal (31).
In her sophomore season, Martinez-Montoya continued to shine, earning the prestigious title of NEC Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. Her outstanding performance also led to a spot on the NEC First Team and the distinction of being named the NEC's Golden Boot winner. An impressive 44% of the team's goals (13 goals in total) were attributed to her remarkable scoring ability. Alongside her goal-scoring prowess, Martinez-Montoya contributed two assists, accumulating a total of 28 points, the highest on the team.
