June 28, 2023 | Women's Basketball
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – On Wednesday, the Southeastern Conference announced each school's League opponents for the 2023-24 season. Mississippi State will play a 16-game league schedule consisting of eight home and eight road games. Dates and times will be announced at a later date.
In the 15th season of the 16-game SEC schedule, Mississippi State has drawn home-and-home games with Florida, Kentucky, and permanent opponent Ole Miss. This will be the first time since the 2017-18 season that the Bulldogs will play Florida and Kentucky home and away as part of its SEC regular season schedule.
Mississippi State's remaining five home games will feature Georgia, Missouri, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and defending national champions, LSU. On top of their previously mentioned road games, the Bulldogs will travel to Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, South Carolina and Texas A&M.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 22-11 season under the direction of head coach Sam Purcell. In his first season as a head coach, coach Purcell guided the Bulldogs back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2018-19 season, winning a pair of games and becoming the first team in NCAA women's basketball history to advance from the First Four round to the second round of the tournament.
The remainder of the 2023-24 schedule, including dates, times and TV information, will be announced at a later date.
Mississippi State is now accepting new season ticket deposits, and current season ticket holders can renew their tickets for the 2023-24 season. Seat locations will be picked during a full reseat in September based on Bulldog Club ranking. Visit HailState.com/Tickets for more information.
Humphrey Coliseum will become one of the nation's premier arenas as major renovations continue ahead of the upcoming season. If interested in making contributions to Humphrey Coliseum, please contact the Bulldog Club at (662) 325-3074.
